We believe information can be simple with the right tools. So far we found very few programs that feel just right in our specific scenarios. In most cases we end up wishing that something would work differently for the program to be tailored to our needs and our way of working. Instead of adjusting to what it can do we want it to fit the way we do things.
We're tired of waiting for programs to appear that would work the way we like to organize our notes, projects, contacts and so on. We're creating Sider to meet our specific information needs and needs of other people.
Sider is an application to organize, edit and maintain your information the way that makes the most sense to you. It is very flexible. Anything that doesn't feel right can be changed; anything that's missing can be added.
Edit Requirements
- .NET 1.1 and .NET 1.1 SP1 are required. At least Windows 2000 is recommended.
- IE7 is recommended (but not required). Some views will work faster, look better and chances of memory leaks are highly reduced.
Edit Technology preview release
Release notes:
0.5-TechnologyPreviewThis is the first public release of Sider. It features only several extensions and its main goal is to demonstrate platform ideas and possibilities. The main extension allows user to organize notes in a tree-like structure, which is very similar to many existing notes-management programs. However, unlike most of the programs there are several views with different purpose (notes management, quick notes entering, etc.)
Edit Commercial release
Final release will feature completed platform with support for notes, tasks, and projects management. This will be a commercial release.
